Cary Ichter
Cary
Ichter – is with the firm of Adorno & Yoss in
Atlanta.
Cary started his
legal career in 1984 in the litigation department of Powell,
Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy . In 1992, the former Meadows,
Ichter & Trigg was formed. Augmenting his many legal awards,
recognitions, and accomplishments, is Mr. Ichter’s dedication to
various service organizations.
Cary
has an ongoing commitment to CARE, the international relief
organization, through the Atlanta Committee for CARE. He is
also an avid runner, a black belt in karate AND a neutral with
Closure ADR.
Cary also has considerable experience litigating employment
disputes, including claims made under Title VII and the Age
Discrimination in Employment Act, as well as claims of sexual
harassment. His practice additionally includes disputes involving
restrictive covenants ancillary to employment agreements
and trade secret misappropriation actions. Mr. Ichter has
also successfully litigated cases involving copyright infringement
involving both computer software and musical recordings.
Cary practiced law in the litigation department of Powell,

Gary Kessler
Gary Kessler – is a partner at Irvin and Kessler in Atlanta. He has been practicing labor
and employment law and business litigation exclusively since
1977. His expertise includes all matters related to labor
and employment, discrimination, wrongful discharge, tort and
contract claims, business litigation, affirmative action,
arbitrations and wage and hour disputes. His experience is
in a plethora of various industries, including but not limited
to banking and finance, manufacturing, healthcare, insurance,
and retail services. Mr. Kessler also conducts seminars on
numerous labor and employment issues. Gary is an avid bicyclist,
and also serves as a neutral with Closure ADR.
George Reid
George Reid – is one of the most sought after construction
dispute neutrals in the southeast. He has over 25 years of
litigation, arbitration and mediation experience in complex
commercial and construction disputes. His expertise
encompasses all aspects of the construction process. Mr.
Reid is also an accomplished speaker and lecturer on alternative
dispute resolution issues. His numerous professional
affiliations and certifications are listed on his bio page.
George is also a past Chairman of the Georgia State Ethics
Commission, and is currently a Closure ADR neutral.
Robert Dokson
Robert Dokson- Is a partner in the Atlanta firm of Ellis, Funk, Goldberg,
Labovitz & Dokson. He has practiced law in Atlanta for over thirty years, and has been
involved in ADR activities for the past two decades. His
practice as both advocate and neutral involves a wide variety of
commercial and civil matters. He has mediated or
arbitrated well over one hundred cases. Mr. Dokson has
been involved in many civic and professional activities. He was
one of the founders of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation,
and he has been a Board Member of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society
for over twenty years. Robbie has past and present
involvements with the boards of the Paideia School,
the Temple,
the Anti-Defamation League, the Downtown YMCA, the Governor's
Office of Consumer Affairs, and the Brown University National
Alumni Schools Program. He is also one of the highest
rated neutrals on the Closure panel.
David Butler
David Butler – is a former senior partner in the
Atlanta
firm of Alston and Bird. He is currently with the
prestigious firm of Shapiro-Fussell. David served from
1997 until January 2004 as the United States Trustee for the
Region 21 Bankruptcy Court. A significant part of that
position involved formulating and executing local Federal court
mediation rules. Mr. Butler is a former president of the
Atlanta Bar Association and is a Fellow in the
American
College of Bankruptcy.
David was also the founding Director and President of the
Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute. Noteworthy, too, is
his involvement as a teacher and mentor, through several
different organizations, for men who are faced with challenging
life issues. Mr. Butler is also on the Closure ADR neutral
roster.
Abe Ordover
Abe Ordover - is a nationally prominent mediator and
arbitrator, having mediated more than fifteen hundred cases,
claims which aggregated more than $3 billion. He founded and led
Resolution Resources Corporation in 1991, retiring from RRC in
2004. His endeavors include ten years with a major New York firm
as a litigator and trial lawyer; twenty years as a law professor
at Hofstra University in New York and then Emory University Law
School in Atlanta. He was a major figure in the National
Institute for Trial Advocacy, serving as Northeast Regional
Director and National Team Leader. He is the author of
Alternatives to Litigation: Mediation, Arbitration, and the Art
of Dispute Resolution, published by NITA. He has won awards from
the
American College of Trial Lawyers and the Roscoe
Pound –American Trial Lawyer’s Foundation. Mr. Ordover is
a magna cum laude graduate of
Syracuse University and the
Yale Law School. He now resides in the
San Diego metropolitan
area.
