The company was started in 2004 as a result of founder and CEO Dean Kolbinsky’s own participation in the mediation process.  He had an ownership dispute with a former business partner.  After enduring a prolonged and contentious litigation ordeal, mediation was presented as an option to bringing an end to the hostilities.  The positive experience ADR prompted Kolbinsky to start the company.  The neutral roster was assembled after interviewing many of Atlanta’s top attorneys and soliciting their input on identifying the most effective and highly respected mediators in the region.

Closure ADR is modeled around a four pronged commitment.  First, we will provide the highest quality, legally proficient, experienced and statured neutrals in the market.  Secondly, we will provide our clients with higher service levels than what is provided by larger, national ADR “dinosaur” entities.  Next, we can offer non-conventional venues to host the sessions.  Sometimes getting away from traditional legal confines better facilitates creative and accommodating thought.  Fourth and finally, we are committed to promoting the virtue inherent in cooperative dispute resolution.  We are ideologically driven.  It is our contention that, in most instances, mediation is the prudent course of action.  It’s the “right” thing to do.
