EXPERIENCE

Mr. Israel has extensive experience serving as an arbitrator of construction disputes for "Fast Track," "Regular Track," and "Large Complex" cases. He has served as sole arbitrator as well as a member of three-arbitrator panels (including chairman) in Georgia, Ohio, and Tennessee. He has been a member of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Panel of Neutrals since 1988 and is a member of AAA’s Large Complex Case Panel (LCCP). Construction disputes arbitrated by Mr. Israel include multi-million dollar claims between owners and general contractors, and also involving subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants and suppliers. He has significant knowledge of the engineering and architectural disciplines and building trades, as well as the building codes governing construction.

Mr. Israel has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has had direct responsibility for the design and construction of multidisciplinary projects including commercial, industrial, residential, government, and power projects. In this capacity he negotiated contract terms and conditions, payment issues and change orders. The projects range in size from feasibility studies to over $500 million including domestic and international construction work. Project delivery methods include Design-Bid, Design-Build, EPC (Engineer Procure Construct), and EPCM (Engineer Procure Construction Manage).
