Professional Experience:
Currently senior litigator in the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department of the Atlanta office of Seyfarth Shaw, a 500 lawyer national law firm with ten offices which is based in Chicago, and the Co-Chairman of the Firm’s national ADR Sub-Specialty Group. From 1979 to August 2000, Mr. Sherrill was the Chairman of the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department of McCullough Sherrill, LLP (previously Glass, McCullough, Sherrill & Harrold), a 50 lawyer general practice firm based in Atlanta. Mr. Sherrill has over thirty years experience in the resolving of all types of civil disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation at the trial and appellate level, including the following practice areas: general business, contract and corporate, construction (including cases involving all types of public and private [commercial, industrial, institutional and residential] projects), securities, insurance (including liability, interpretation and coverage issues), real estate (foreclosures, condemnations, deficiency judgments, specific performance actions, zoning and land use, etc.), health care, employment and personal injury/negligence/product liability. Significant part of practice over last 15 years has involved acting as a neutral and as an advocate representing clients in all forms of ADR.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience:
Currently active as Member of the Panel of Mediators and Arbitrators of Closure ADR, Inc.; AAA Commercial and Construction Panels of arbitrators and mediators; the Georgia Panel of Neutrals for the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, and as an independent arbitrator and mediator, serving as a mediator in over 500 mediations and an arbitrator in over 200 arbitrations over the last twenty years involving the practice areas mentioned above. Member of AAA Large Complex Case Program Panel for the Southeastern United States since the inception of the program in 1993. Served as member of the AAA/U.S. Olympic Committee Arbitration Panels for the 1996 (Atlanta), 1998 (Nagano), and 2000 (Sydney) Olympic Games. Appointed as arbitrator, mediator, and special master by various courts (state and federal) since 1980. Served as Administrative Hearing Officer for State Health Planning Review Board (Chairman, 1980-82) and Chief Hearing Officer for the Georgia Real Estate Commission (1976-87).
