Mr. Bogart is a prominent Georgia attorney and an experienced and successful mediator
and arbitrator.

Mr. Bogart’s real estate experience includes the creation of the first planned unit development community in the State of Georgia; establishment of one of the first condominium projects in the State of Georgia; negotiation and implementation of what was one of the largest single real estate transactions in metropolitan Atlanta and the obtaining of the necessary exemptions under ERISA from the United States Department of Labor for the consummation of that transaction; representation of owners and redevelopers of buildings listed on the National Registry of Historic Places; representation of real estate brokerage companies and brokers; representation of a foreign investment company in the acquisition of an inventory of commercial real estate properties located throughout the United States; the acquisition of real estate based operating financing for a national chain of nursing homes; and the reorganizations and the dissolutions of broadly held real estate owning limited partnerships.
Among his major real estate clients for major and continuous matters were The State Bar of Georgia (in its capacity as a property owner and landlord); a major national bank with headquarters in Atlanta and North Carolina; a big five accounting firm; several major Atlanta law firms; two major Wall Street investment banks; and a national chain of large retail stores. Mr. Bogart negotiated and handled the unique partnering of a real estate developer and the pension plan of the employees of a large international company for the ongoing acquisition and development of real properties as an investment vehicle.
Mr. Bogart’s construction experience includes the representation of owners and developers of major office buildings, free standing retail stores, industrial office parks and mixed use developments which included the preparation and administration of construction contracts and the resolution of disputes with contractors. Mr. Bogart prepared the construction contract for the main terminal building at the Atlanta airport and has represented a developer of airline cargo facilities at a major northeastern airport. He has represented architects in a variety of matters and has lectured on construction and architectural contracts to the loan officers of a major national bank.
He served as General Counsel for two decades to a privately held, national pest control company and a state-wide wholesale, grocery cooperative. For twenty-five years, he served as General Counsel to a major real estate developer; and has served in that capacity to a number of other real estate developers, an accounting firm, and a number of non-profit corporations.
Mr. Bogart is a Georgia Registered Neutral for Arbitration and General Mediation, and is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution.
Mr. Bogart has lectured on real estate matters for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Atlanta Board of Realtors.
Mr. Bogart is an Order-of-the Coif graduate of the Duke University School of Law and a graduate with honors of the University of Georgia, Atlanta Division. In 2000, Mr. Bogart was honored with the Of Counsel Award by the State Bar of Georgia. He is a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia. From 1953 to 1955, he served on active duty as an officer in the United States Army. Mr. Bogart is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as the Chairman of the Community Relations Committee of the Atlanta Jewish Federation and as a Trustee of the Federation. He served as President and Trustee of Yeshiva High School of Atlanta, President of Temple Sinai, and as Executive Vice President and Trustee of Congregation Beth Jacob.
