Profile
Stan focuses on defending employers in employment-related litigation and representing employers in traditional labor matters including unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, arbitrations and collective bargaining. He also focuses on proactively counseling employers regarding day-to-day employment decisions in order to avoid litigation. He works with a variety of employers nationwide, including chemicals and mining operations, major restaurant chains and manufacturing and retail operations.
Areas of Practice
Employment Discrimination Litigation
Stan focuses on defending class actions or collective actions relating to race, gender and age discrimination. Stan successfully defended a large restaurant chain against a claim of sex discrimination by the EEOC and a multi-plaintiff age discrimination against a major paper manufacturer.
Labor Relations
Stan has recently worked with unionized companies to modify collective bargaining agreements and past practices to address rising health care costs and to defend cases regarding modifications to retiree health benefits. Stan has also provided counseling and assistance regarding plant relocations and consolidations.
