Experience
Fifteen years experience as mediator/arbitrator in a variety of personal injury and commercial matters. Commercial matters include breach of contract for services, sales, employment, franchise, real property, insurance; transportation, matters include freight claims, tariffs, DOT regulations, common carrier duties; and tort matters include, toxic torts, slander, premises liability, product liability, employment, sexual abuse and harassment.

Twenty-four years experience as a civil trial lawyer in state and federal courts in commercial, complex, products, toxic tort, and transportation matters. Commercial experience in breach of contract claims, business disputes, freight claims, collection matters, indemnification, subrogation actions, fraud, and bad faith claims.

Product liability experience, construction equipment, vehicles, household goods, power tools, aircraft, scaffolding, children's products, medical devices, toxic substances, inhalants, pesticides, and alcoholic beverages. Have managed national and regional litigation for a variety of clients which required development of national litigation and settlement strategies. Experienced in class action and multi-district litigation, recall and consumer warning campaigns, national and regional administration of multi-claim actions, including development of systems for investigation, litigation, processing, and settlement of claims.

Transportation law experience in commercial and personal injury cases, shipping contracts, freight claims, tariffs, bills of lading, DOT regulations, and federal preemption.

General litigation of personal injury actions, premises liability cases matters involving allegations of sexual misconduct.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Since 1991, have routinely served as an arbitrator or mediator in matters outlined above. Served on AAA's Olympic Arbitrator's Panels for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games (Atlanta) and the 1998 Winter Olympic Games (Nagano, Japan). Have routinely served since 1989, on a pro bono basis, as an arbitrator in Fulton County's court ordered arbitration program and for AAA, and since 1998 as a mentor and trainer for The Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, College of Law, Georgia State University program for Conflict Resolution in Public Schools.
